The aim of Steps Ahead Care & Support is to enable the people we support to live as independently as possible. We tailor packages of care and support to meet the clients’ individual requirements, this could be for 24 hours a day or a few hours each week. We also provide high calibre support staff to registered organisations to compliment your existing team at a moments notice. Steps Ahead Care & Support are looking for experienced support workers with passion and commitment in providing person centred support and rehabilitation to join our outstanding organisation as a support worker for a client with an acquired brain injury and physical disabilities.

This role requires providing support with all aspects of the clients daily living within the home and community-based rehabilitation. You will be supporting clients within the local community to promote their independence and enable them to reach their goals and aspirations.

Support tasks and responsibilities may include:

· Assisting with the client’s weekly hydrotherapy and gym sessions as required

· Supporting with the completion of daily living tasks such as daily planning, meal planning and preparation to follow the client’s strict vegan diet

· To enable the client to full fill their goals and aspirations

· There may be some personal care required

We are looking for experienced support workers who are motivated and reliable with the passion for enabling rehabilitation and progression along with providing evolving support to empower clients to reach their goals, aspirations and potential. The client has worked very hard on his rehabilitation programme and is looking for more than just a support worker, but somebody to share his interests with. An eclectic interest in music would be advantageous on building a positive working relationship. You will be part of a positive and committed team, working alongside a team of two other support workers.

The chosen individual will be enthusiastic, reliable and self - motivated. We also require a clean driving license and a minimum of 6 months health and social care experience.
